How to Get Involved

Our members meet to develop goals, set priority areas and approve action plans. They also make decisions about projects and ongoing programs as well as serve as general community ambassadors. The time commitment can range anywhere from one to two hours per month, which is not all that much considering the major difference you can make in a child's life.

If you aren't able to fully commit to membership, that is not a problem! We are always open to volunteers for events and additional people to help out when necessary.

A Word from one of our Members

I have been a member of the Centralia Prevention Coalition since it first began. A piece of me belongs to this organization because I have seen the disparities of children with strong connections to their community and to trusted adults. The Centralia Prevention Coalition is a great movement that encourages kids to stay off drugs, alcohol, and tobacco products. They offer several events throughout the year that encourages education, safe drug keeping, safe disposal of drugs, and promoting our incredible youth who strive to end a cycle of addiction. The Coalition is a not only a safe place but it is also the foundation for building a better future in Centralia. It not only provides a safe place for youth to be educated, have a sense of belonging, provides relationships with a trusted adult, and helps break the cycle through our Middle School Prevention Club, but it also gives our youth a connections with the community they live in and promotes leadership. Throughout the time I have been with the Coalition, I have seen growth and change. I hope to continue to be a part of this Coalition's successful future through changing lives and promoting leadership.
